The term 5S is linked to a set of 5 words from Japanese, adapted to Portuguese as “Five Senses”, one of the main tools created in the Toyota production system, which resulted in the improvement of the production system. This work aims to describe the implementation process of this methodology in a plastic disposable cup company, located in the city of Guarulhos, São Paulo. It is a small industry that operates in the field of disposable plastics, where disposable polystyrene cups, plates, pots and lids are manufactured. This is applied research that describes a proposal for planning and implementing a 5S quality program in a disposable plastic cup company in the city of Guarulhos, SP. The results showed that the implementation of the program, baptized by the company as “CLEAN Program”: C - Conservation; L - Cleaning; E - Commitment; A - Self-discipline and N - Standardization, took place in an orderly manner, in line with the collaborators up to the CLE, until the completion of this research. The process of cleaning and creating checklists made it easier to see where you want to go. It was concluded that the 5S methodology goes far beyond a quality program, it involves the idea of productivity. This methodology is more linked to communication, since everything goes from creating documents, which, in turn, generate didactic processes and that end up awakening the understanding and willingness of employees to accept this new harmony, so that this process becomes routine. , and do not fall into self-indulgence.
