EFFICACY OF NUTRICOSMETICS IN SKIN REJUVENATION

Abstract

This article to evaluate the effectiveness of nutricosmetics in the fight against skin aging. Refers to a research that is characterized as an integrative review structured through publications and articles between the years 2011 to 2022 in predominantly Portuguese and English. The following databases were used: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), PubMed and publications found on Google Scholar search engine and the following  keywords were used: Nutricosmetics, aging and rejuvenation. Skin rejuvenation is directly linked and associated with a healthy diet, the use of transdermal cosmetics as well as the supplementation of nutricosmetics to replace and obtain actives capable of preventing and controlling the signs of aging as well as the fight against free radicals that is pointed out. as the main villain, we point out that the treatment is individualized and its therapeutic indication must be addressed by qualified professionals. Finally, the effectiveness of the use of nutricosmetics in the treatment of control and prevention to combat aging in association with a change in lifestyle is evident, favoring skin rejuvenation.
