It is the role of the school and all the actors involved in the educational process to foster and materialize respect for individuals, thus committing themselves to the dynamics of cultural diversity. Faced with multiculturalism, it is pertinent to think about the constant need to debate and reflect on respect for cultural diversities. In this sense, the objective of this study is to bring together studies on cultural diversity in the school environment, to form a dignified society permeated by ethical values. In methodological terms, this work is centered on systematic bibliographic research, developed in the second half of 2021 through the electronic database Periódico Capes and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). Articles published in journals, seminars, conferences and meetings were included, as well as master's dissertations and doctoral theses published between the years 2014 to 2021 providing information consistent with the objective of this study. As for the language, articles published in Portuguese are considered. Based on the data obtained in this research, the significant production and publication of studies focused on the subject in the last 7 years is evident. This study points out the need to develop other research methodologies, as an example with a quantitative approach. In the end, it is clear that students and members of an educational system, when armed with knowledge of cultural diversity, exercise full respect for human rights, tolerance and valuing citizenship as a right for all and that it must be shared without distinction.
