Abstract

The objective of the present work was to report the activities carried out by the participants (preceptor and residents) during the first module of the Pedagogical Residency Program in the Geography subproject of the Federal University of Uberlândia, which was implemented at Escola Municipal Professor Jacy de Assis between August 2018 to December 2018. The methodology used was the reflection and discussion of theoretical references about the teaching profession, produced a socio-environmental diagnosis of the school, participation in pedagogical workshops, individual and shared regencies. The results reveal that the pedagogical residency allows the experience for the students' professional formation, the didactic-pedagogical organization, the learning of teaching methodologies, the reflection on the observed reality and the practice of the theory learned in the graduation. The project expands the dialogue between the Higher Education institution and Basic Education, which contributes to the professional training of the future Geography.
