Each approach within Psychology analyzes and proposes different interventions in cases of anxiety. The objective of the present work is to propose a relationship between anxiety and Behavior Analysis in order to guide the reader regarding the therapeutic performance within this specific approach. Based on the behavior analyst conception, anxiety is seen as an acquisition of escape and/or avoidance responses, this means an interpretation of anxiety according to which pre-signaled aversive stimulation is avoidable, controllable. In addition to discussing anxiety in a general context, the work addresses what is meant to make this phenomenon aggravating on the subject of anxiety. Finally, it is possible to conclude that, different from what critics of Analytical-Behavioral Therapy point out, the radical behaviorist perspective is adequate for the follow-up of people facing anxiety.
