NURSING CARE PROVIDED TO LOW-RISK NEWBORNS: A BIBLIOGRAPHIC STUDY

Assistance to the newborn health it is an essential care that should be present in the routine of nursing staff. With the evolution concept care health of children and newborns, the nursing care of the newborn begin shortly after the child's birth begins shortly after the child's birth. The main objective of this study is to report the first care provided by nurses to low-risk newborns. This research is a bibliographic study with a descriptive and exploratory character. The search was carried out in books and electronic journals that addressed the issue of first care for the newborn. Care is present within the context of nursing since the emergence of the first reports on the development of this activity to the present day. That said, the improvement of patient care is presented as a paradigm to be faced daily by those who work with patient care. The care provided to the newborn immediately after delivery has a relevant contribution to a better adaptation of the newborn to the new phase he is now experiencing and it is important with regard to the early identification of pathologies, in addition to the prophylactic measures that are essential for preventing the onset of diseases in the neonate.
