This study aimed at the knowledge of LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) and its use in school environments, as well as the linguistic structure of the language. As it is a very important topic for the inclusion of deaf students, Libras - Brazilian Sign Language becomes extremely necessary, both in specialized rooms for the care of children with special needs, as well as in normal classrooms. , because it is through Libras that teachers and students will be able to develop communication and language with deaf people, included in the school environment. The research provides knowledge about Libras, in the historical and grammatical sense, as well as the need for its use in specialized and normal classrooms, in order to establish an understanding of language between people with deafness and hearing people, facilitating the various relationships established between these people, in the different school spaces. The work was developed through bibliographic research in books, magazine articles and websites, with clarifying information about the language in question, a language that, like all languages, had its history of struggles for the rights of deaf people, ensuring meaningful learning and for that can reduce the many existing obstacles, which prevent development and cause repetition and dropout, causing school failure. To understand this, the work dialogued with several authors, which stand out: SIÉCOLA (2016), VAGULA (2014) and SILVA (2011).
