EXPERIENCE REPORT: PATHOLOGICAL GRIEF IN A FAMILY SUICIDE CASE

The present article consists of an experience report of a psychotherapeutic follow-up of the story of a divorced father, a farmer in the southern region of the country, experiencing the recent grieving process, after six months of the suicide episode of his teenage daughter, in an unexpected way. The objective of this article is to report the difficulties experienced by the patient in the elaboration of mourning in a suicide context, in addition to observing the consequences of suicide in the family context. To reflect on grief, pain and suffering in contemporary times, and the difficulties of getting in touch with fragilities as opposed to withdrawing from pain, which provide more difficulties in the therapeutic work of mourning and promoting greater illness. Address the difficulties of psychotherapeutic work in the case, and the advantages of working in cases involving topics such as death, mourning, suicide in a professional training context.
