DEPRESSÃO, ANSIEDADE E O USO DE PSICOFÁRMACOS NA PANDEMIA DA COVID-19

Depression is a mental illness that affects the physical, causing greater damage to mental health in the world, being the third largest condition worthy of absence from work. Its main sign, loneliness, withdrawal from people or social group, negative feelings, anger, insecurity. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) indicate a growing number of cases of depression in the last decade, estimated at about 320 million people. However, Brazil stands out when compared to other Latin American countries.The covid-19 pandemic was decreed by the world health organization (WHO), on March 11, 2020, after a calamity and health catastrophe, identified in Wuhan, Hubel province in China. The pandemic brought several attacks to the world in general, such as: unemployment, hunger, fear, death, the lack of information about the outcome and duration of the pandemic favored the establishment of psychopathological disorders or problems such as fear, anxiety, depression, panic. The present study aims to identify the indices that increase anxiety and depression during the covid-19 pandemic and the use of possible psychotropic drugs as a solution to improve quality of life. The study has as profile the integrative review with more recent articles with similar themes in the networks. Pubmed, Scielo, Bireme, Lilacs, Medline. It was possible to identify that psychological problems had high rates in all audiences; mainly, to health professionals who acted in the face of the pandemic, with social isolation and coping with unexpected situations during this period. The most accepted drug was escitalopram oxalate, sertraline and bromazepam. Therefore, it is clear that depression started to have greater data than cases of COVID-19 contamination, affecting all publics in the period of social isolation, where they impose a radical change in their lifestyle, adding to the fear of contamination, the impossibility of physical contact bringing major disturbances to mental health.
