Abstract

This article aims to reflect on knowledge representation systems through the intertwining of knowing, circulation, and the ethical sharing of the aesthetics of contemporary ideographies. These critical reflections seek to move counter-hegemonically against an algorithmic existence dominated by manipulation, surveillance, and market dynamics that affect our daily lives. In this sense, we propose a cartographic modeling rooted in the epistemological foundations of formative and (auto)biographical research by bringing forth the authors' journeys. The immersion study took place within the course unit "Knowledge Representation Systems" during the 2025.2 academic term of the Programa de Pós-graduação em Difusão do Conhecimento (PPGDC), in which we were tasked with synthesizing the complexity of a formative itinerary outlined in the course's methodological planning. Proceeding through active practice, we position Cordel literature as a device to facilitate a more fluid navigation through ideographies within an academic context. Ultimately, the study highlights the essential inseparability of politics, ethics, and cognition in the practice that establishes us, as subjects, engaging with contemporary ideographies.
