Seizures are among the most common neurological emergencies in the pediatric population, requiring early diagnosis and accurate clinical classification to guide treatment and prognosis. This study aimed to analyze the clinical and epidemiological profile of pediatric patients treated for seizures at the emergency department of Hospital São Lucas, in Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil, between 2020 and 2025. This retrospective, descriptive, and exploratory study adopted quantitative and qualitative approaches based on the analysis of 254 medical records. Generalized seizures (47.6%) and idiopathic etiology (67.7%) were the most frequent findings, with the highest occurrence among children aged 1 to 9 years. Valproate was the most commonly prescribed antiseizure medication, followed by levetiracetam and clobazam, providing satisfactory seizure control in approximately two-thirds of the patients. The findings were consistent with the literature, highlighting the influence of age, seizure type, and etiology on prognosis and reinforcing the importance of early diagnosis, accurate classification, and multidisciplinary follow-up for effective pediatric seizure management.
