This study aimed to explore the importance of Psychomotor Education in early childhood education for the prevention of learning difficulties. We seek, then, to know the theoretical foundations of psychology, necessary for human development. Subsequently, the history of psychomotor education and its application in schools was researched. Several researches are being carried out on the importance of the teacher's role in this area, as this professional has a great influence on children's development. An analysis of the relationship between psychomotor education and learning difficulties is also presented, considering that it is possible to prevent them through satisfactory psychological work from the first years of life. Theoretical contributions to this construction come from the following authors: Fonseca (1995a, 1995b), Bueno (1998), Le Boulch (1988), Lapierre and Lapierre (2002), Dockrell and McShane (2000), Rossi (2012).
