O USO DE MEDICAMENTOS BIOSSIMILARES PARA O TRATAMENTO DO CÂNCER

Abstract

Cancer is a chronic, degenerative disease resulting from accumulations of abnormal cell growth disorders that proliferate in disorder and spread to other parts of the body. Breast cancer is the most prevalent neoplasm in females, being the most frequent cause of death, reaching 29.7% of this gender. A recent alternative to treat this pathology that has been gaining attention is the use of biosimilars, providing a great advance in the oncology area with a modern, efficient and less aggressive treatment than the usual chemotherapies. Another relevant point is the ease of access for patients to this treatment, as the cost is reduced, thus providing an increase in adherence, reducing the risk of death.
