This Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC) analyzes the protagonism of the Companhia Independente de Policiamento com Cães (CIPcães) of the Amazonas Military Police in major drug seizures conducted in 2025, emphasizing fluvial operations at the Arpão Bases and drug trafficking in the Brazil-Peru-Colombia tri-border region (AGUIAR; BENAYON JÚNIOR et al., 2025). Adopting a qualitative and descriptive approach, the study relies on official data from the Amazonas Public Security Secretariat (SSP-AM) and Military Police (PMAM), institutional reports, and scientific articles examining detection dogs as tools for targeted repression and evidentiary production. CIPcães dog-handler teams proved decisive in the record seizure of 46.6 tons of narcotics, disrupting key fluvial routes, reducing violent and property crime rates, and strengthening state presence in remote riverside communities. Cinotechnical operations leverage a robust legal framework (STJ HC 729.836/MS) and Amazon-adapted training protocols, legitimizing canine scent detection as technical evidence. The research concludes that CIPcães has become a symbol of efficiency and credibility for PMAM, delivering operational results alongside positive social impacts and enhanced public safety perception throughout Amazonas.
