This article aimed to synthesize the evidence on the use of serious digital games in functional hand rehabilitation. It is a systematic literature review conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, IEEE, PEDro, and Science Direct databases. The analyzed studies suggest that serious games can contribute positively to functional hand rehabilitation, promoting significant improvements in strength, dexterity, range of motion, and functional independence. The findings suggest that the use of serious digital games as a complement to conventional rehabilitation may represent a promising strategy. However, further studies are needed to evaluate the long-term effects and confirm the observed results.
