Linguistic variations are obvious and existing phenomena whose factors are of fundamental importance for the study of the language spoken in different regions or locations in the country. In view of this, this research deals with a brief section, derived from the master's thesis, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Education at the World Ecumenical University – WUE, with the main objective of this research is to discuss important aspects of Patativa do Assaré's writings as a strong representation of the language of the northeastern sertanejo and social denunciations through his works. In order to support our arguments in this bibliographical research, we consulted various authors with knowledge of the subject, such as: Cardoso and Souza (2012); Carvalho (2002); Freitas (2018); Moura (2015); Nogueira (2017); Pattuzzo and Gonçalves (2019); Silva and Freitas (2015); Xavier (2019), as well as articles and electronic magazines. In this sense, the present study seeks to collect diverse data and information in order to generate discussions between different authors of canonical and popular literature. In his works, Patativa do Assaré represents the Northeast and the backlands man as a fighter and conqueror of survival, disseminating knowledge in popular writings, whether in speech or in regionalized writing.
