The results of the study show that understanding the importance of intelligence today is essential, especially in the Special Operations activity that BOPE develops throughout the state territory. Therefore, the new types of conflicts, the preponderant relevance of intelligence, as well as the role of BOPE in this context of great complexity were contextualized. It can be concluded that the differentiated preparation of operators, combined with current doctrine and joint action with intelligence in these conflicts, allows for better response to incidents in which BOPE is involved.
