This study investigated the contribution of ERP systems to business analysis, focusing on the benefits, challenges and impacts on strategic decision-making in organizations. The research problem was: “How do ERP systems contribute to business analysis, considering their benefits, challenges and impacts on decision-making?” The general objective was to analyze how ERP systems influence business management, especially in optimizing processes and improving decision-making. The methodology adopted was bibliographic research, with analysis of articles, books and other relevant academic sources. The research revealed that ERP systems contribute to the integration of business data and processes, improving operational efficiency, financial transparency and internal collaboration. However, the main challenges faced by companies involve resistance to change, high implementation costs and difficulties in integrating with legacy systems. Regarding strategic decision-making, ERP systems offer real-time data that allows managers to make informed decisions, aligned with strategic objectives. The concluding remarks indicated that although ERP systems bring substantial benefits, successful implementation depends on overcoming operational and technological challenges. The study also highlighted the need for further research on the long-term impacts of these systems on different types of organizations.
