Building an egalitarian school requires embracing and valuing diversity in its multiple forms, such as racial, gender, ethnic, and sexual diversity. This article discusses the importance of promoting an inclusive educational environment where all identities are respected and recognized, fostering the creation of a more harmonious coexistence among students. By exploring pedagogical practices focused on inclusion, we show how schools can become spaces of equality, where all students have the opportunity to develop fully. Promoting equality in education goes beyond academic teaching, encompassing the creation of a safe environment in which each student feels valued and part of a community. However, this process faces significant challenges, such as prejudices that are still rooted in society and the lack of preparation of educators to deal with diversity. Despite this, the opportunities generated by inclusive practices are immense, including strengthening students' empathy, solidarity, and critical awareness. This study highlights the need to integrate pedagogical actions that respect differences, contributing not only to academic learning, but also to the formation of more aware citizens who are engaged in the construction of a more just and egalitarian society.
