Abstract

The public health model in Brazil seeks to promote and protect the health of the population through interdisciplinary teams. In this way, a trained interdisciplinary team has the theoretical-scientific breadth to offer qualified and resolute assistance to patients, at a delicate moment such as pregnancy. To evaluate the importance of a multidisciplinary team with an emphasis on training professionals in monitoring pregnant womenRefers to an integrative literature review research, the selection involved a thorough analysis of studies, ensuring their quality and suitability for the proposed theme. The literature review showed that the joint action of health professionals promotes broader and more humanized care, integrating physical, emotional and social aspects. This monitoring facilitates the early identification of risks, allowing preventive interventions that benefit the health of the pregnant woman and her baby.  It is concluded that the effective integration of multidisciplinary teams is essential to improve health outcomes and satisfaction of pregnant women. The study highlights the need for health systems and educational institutions to prioritize the formation of multidisciplinary teams, aiming for comprehensive and humanized care and promoting a continuous learning environment.
