The study aims to analyze the role of the pharmacist in caring for leukopenic patients after radiotherapy, focusing on managing side effects, optimizing drug therapy, and promoting treatment adherence. The methodology involved a literature review in scientific databases, covering the period from 2018 to 2024. The development highlighted the importance of pharmaceutical intervention to prevent infections, monitor leukocyte levels, and adjust medication dosage according to patients' individual conditions. Additionally, the pharmacist educates patients and their families on self-care, contributing to adherence and reducing the risk of severe complications, such as sepsis. The conclusion indicates that the pharmacist's role is essential for successful treatment, fostering a safe recovery and improving quality of life. This role includes medication management, educational support, and continuous monitoring, which are crucial for comprehensive and personalized care for these patients.
