The low-power laser has been gaining prominence in dentistry, offering significant benefits for the treatment of oral lesions, such as: recurrent aphthous stomatitis, oral mucositis, labial herpes and traumatic ulcers. The application of low-power laser therapy brings advantages such as the reduction of painful symptoms, rapid healing and the absence of adverse effects. Therefore, this work aimed to present the benefits of treating oral lesions through the application of low-power laser therapy, through a literature review. Thus, a research was carried out with data collection electronically in the following media: PubMed (Medline) and Scielo. In conclusion, low-power laser therapy is an important alternative in the treatment of oral lesions.
