Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in curriculum development and its impacts on the future of education. The central problem investigated is how AI is transforming the process of creating and implementing educational curricula, and what are the main challenges and opportunities arising from this transformation. The general objective is to examine the implications of AI in curriculum development, highlighting its potential benefits and possible obstacles. The methodology used was a systematic literature review, with a qualitative approach, including the analysis of recent scientific articles, books, and reports on AI in education. The results indicate that AI has the potential to personalize the curriculum, adapt content to individual student needs, and provide valuable insights for educators and educational policymakers. However, significant challenges were also identified, such as ethical issues, data privacy, and the need for requalification of educators. The research highlights the importance of a balanced approach that leverages the benefits of AI while maintaining the central role of the educator in the teaching-learning process. The final considerations point to the need for educational policies that integrate AI responsibly, ensuring equity and quality in future education.
