This study aims to investigate teacher training for the 21st century, focusing on the integration of digital skills into the educational curriculum. To achieve this objective, a bibliographic review methodology was used, which included a detailed analysis of relevant scientific articles, books and official documents on the topic. The results of this study show that, despite the challenges they have faced, such as the lack of adequate technological infrastructure and resistance to change, digital skills have considerable potential to transform teacher training. The research highlighted the need for a holistic approach that integrates technological, pedagogical and content knowledge into the curriculum. The importance of active methodology, cooperative learning and critical reflection on the use of technology in education was emphasized. The study also highlighted the importance of digital literacy, the production of digital content and the consideration of ethical issues and digital inclusion in teacher training. It was concluded that the effective integration of digital skills in teacher training requires a joint effort from educational institutions, government entities and educators themselves, with the aim of creating a more innovative and inclusive learning environment, in line with the demands of the 21st century.
