Communication is not only done through words, but we have other ways of communicating. And we are increasingly discovering ways of relating to each other. Even more so if we think about the evolution of the media and its ways of reaching people, for example: through written contact, gestures, touches, sounds, symbols and other forms that appear with the evolution of the means of communication. This article aims to perceive other ways of communicating so that we can awaken to a wide world full of opportunities to be more open to other communication relationships for development. Not only our own, but also the development of other people who do not use the same forms of communication as others. In this sense, the question arose: what are the most used ways of interacting between people? We can think of those who do not communicate like us. The deaf who communicate using libras, a language of signs and gestures. The methodology used was qualitative research, of a bibliographic and documentary nature. Therefore, we discussed the concepts and epistemologies that encompass ways of understanding each other through the various forms of communication. Observing the conclusions of Piaget (1970; 1977), Vygotsky (1988; 1993), the concept of mediation and other thinkers. This research reveals that we can use various ways of communicating, so that we can better disseminate thoughts using many forms of dialogue. And that we are also not effectively exploring these possibilities of access to many people who do not communicate in the same way as many of us. The reflections made here make it clear that we need to move forward in the sense that in order to form a citizen capable of effectively analyzing the learning conditions for everyone, we need to explore a variety of ways of communicating, especially within the educational stages.
