NURSE INTERVENTIONS IN ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT IN PRE-HOSPITAL CARE

Introduction: This article investigates the fundamental role of nurses in the context of advanced life support in pre-hospital care, highlighting their importance in responding to emergencies and providing critical care before arrival at the hospital. Objective: The objective of this work is to explore the specific interventions carried out by nurses in advanced life support in pre-hospital care, examining their impacts on the stabilization and referral of patients in emergency situations. Methodology: The research involved a systematic review of the literature, covering scientific articles and guidelines related to the topic, described in the last decade. Data analysis was carried out through qualitative synthesis to identify and describe the main nurse interventions in pre-hospital advanced life support. Discussion and Results: The thematic analysis revealed three categories: nurse interventions in pre-hospital Advanced Life Support, main occurrences that require this support and preventive strategies for such situations. Conclusion: The reports highlight the importance of the role of the nursing technician in pre-hospital care, emphasizing the need for competence and constant updating to ensure effective and rapid care, essential for promoting the health and safety of patients in urgent and emergency situations.
