Abstract

Faced with the changes that the business environment has been undergoing and increasingly aggressive market demands, there is a need to seek tools to help entrepreneurs plan and articulate strategies on how to stand out in the face of highly competitive competition and minimize costs. negative impacts that may arise. The topic addressed in this article highlights the importance of using the Business Plan as a management tool for the individual micro entrepreneur (MEI), highlighting the impacts caused by not using the administrative instrument studied in the strategic planning of an enterprise. To this end, interviews were carried out with five entrepreneurs from the city of Crateús – CE, in the food segment, with the aim of finding out if they know what a Business Plan is, what it is for and if they use this tool as an ally. It was found that the majority of microentrepreneurs do not have complete information regarding the Business Plan, much less its benefits, while others have this information, but have not put it into practice. At the end of this work, we hope to contribute to the identification of the relationship between the tool and the maintenance and enhancement of the success of a micro enterprise.
