This study addressed the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the classroom, investigating the technological and pedagogical principles necessary for this implementation. The central problem was to identify appropriate practices and strategies for using technologies in teaching, considering the challenges and opportunities present in 21st century education. The general objective was to analyze how ICT can be integrated effectively, relating them to contemporary digital culture. The development of the research was based on a bibliographical review, using academic articles, books and other relevant materials. The main findings indicated that the continuous training of teachers, associated with planning and adequate infrastructure, is essential for the effective application of technologies in the educational environment. Furthermore, the importance of personalizing teaching and promoting a dynamic and interactive learning environment was highlighted. The final considerations reinforced that, although there are challenges, the opportunities offered by ICT are vast, providing democratic education. The study also suggested the need for additional research to deepen understanding of best practices for implementing ICT in schools.
