Among dementias, Alzheimer's disease (AD) stands out as the most prevalent. It is a progressive neurodegenerative clinical syndrome characterized by signs and symptoms consistent with memory loss, language disorders, and other cognitive function impairments, as well as changes in social behavior, which impair daily habits and quality of life. This article specifically aims to establish comparisons between the epidemiological profile of female patients with the condition in question, residing in the state of Paraná, Brazil and those with the same medical condition residing in other regions, highlighting the influence of external factors on individual health. The study will be conducted through a descriptive, analytical, and comparative review using the database of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), focusing on patients who fit the research criteria.
