The struggle of parents of autistic children for recognition of their children's citizenship and access to justice in Brazil is marked by significant challenges. Facing a scarcity of resources and a lack of effective public policies, these families fight for accurate diagnoses, inclusive education and adequate health services. Legal issues, such as access to justice and guaranteeing rights, also prove to be problematic. Parents also face difficulties understanding and accessing available legal resources, as well as dealing with prejudice and discrimination. Despite the challenges, parents of children with autism have come together in support and advocacy groups, seeking to promote significant changes in legislation and public awareness. The objective is to achieve a more inclusive and fair society, where autistic individuals have full access to their citizenship rights and justice.
