This article aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of exogenous intoxication due to medication in adolescents as a suicide attempt in Brazil from 2018 to 2023. This study is a descriptive, cross-sectional, ecological epidemiological study conducted using data extracted in July 2024 from the Information System of Notifiable Diseases of SUS (SINAN) on the website of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). It was observed that during this period, 120,830 cases of exogenous intoxication due to medication as a suicide attempt in adolescents aged 10 to 19 years were reported in Brazil. An epidemiological analysis of exogenous intoxication between 2018 and 2023 revealed a prevalence of white adolescents. This study concludes the need for the development of suicide prevention strategies as well as strengthening the encouragement of reporting interpersonal and self-inflicted violence.
