Bone and cartilage tumors, although rare, represent a significant challenge for Brazilian public health. Therefore, understanding the epidemiology and profile of patients with these malignant neoplasms is crucial to targeting prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment strategies. Given this, the scope of this descriptive, cross-sectional study was to analyze data from the SUS Information Technology Department (DATASUS) between 2013 and 2023, focusing on the state of Paraná, to provide a comprehensive view of this problem. The results show that 10,217 hospitalizations were recorded, with a predominance of males (5,536), and white people (7,938) and with two age peaks: 10 to 14 years (1,552), followed by the 50 to 59 age group (1,444). As for deaths, there were 477 deaths, with a predominance of males (272), white people (384), and the 60 to 69 age group (106). Thus, there is a predominance of males and whites in both categories (hospitalization/deaths). Few studies were found in the national literature on hospitalizations and deaths from malignant neoplasms of the bone and articular cartilage, indicating the need for more research of this nature.
