This article aims to analyze and reflect on the images of the city of Rio Branco through a brief reflective study of the works of Marco Lenísio, which were exhibited at the Centro de Multimeios in 2022, in this city. The exhibition was themed: "Urban Perspectives: The city in fragments." From this exhibition, we selected five images for reading and reflection, based on the concepts of representation, ideal city, and real city, taking as foundational readings the works Passages by Walter Benjamin (2009), History of Art as History of the City by Giulio Argan (2005), among other authors. The artist's testimony was also included as an element of analysis. The criteria for selecting Marco Lenísio's works were based on the theme of his exhibition, the set of elements that compose his visual production, the historical context, and the readings of the city he conveyed through his images. Thus, we worked with the possibility of finding fissures that would lead to the problematization of the concept of representation of the images of the city of Rio Branco.
