Abstract

Domestic violence against children and adolescents is a reality experienced in the vast majority of families, whether committed by parents, stepfathers, stepmothers or other members of the family cycle. This is a public health problem that requires governments to create laws that can curb such atrocity. The objective of this research work was to describe protective measures against crimes of domestic violence committed against children and adolescents in Brazil. To carry out this research, a bibliographical survey was carried out in databases available on the internet. The Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Google Scholar research platforms were used. As protective measures, the Child and Adolescent Statute was created in 1990, the Bernardo or Spanking Law in 2014, the Listening Law in 2017/2018, the Henry Borel Law in 2021, and finally, Law No. 14,344, of May 24, 2022 against crimes of domestic and family violence.
