This article addresses the working conditions and workload of doctors in Brazil, highlighting the negative impact of these conditions on the quality of patient care and the health of the professionals themselves. Anchored in the ILO's concept of "Decent Work," it discusses the precarious nature of work, salary inequality, and lack of autonomy as central challenges faced by doctors. The digitalization of healthcare, though promising, is identified as a factor that can intensify precariousness and compromise the quality of care. The research integrates an analysis of reviewed studies examining working conditions, workload, impacts on doctors' physical and mental health, burnout syndrome, and quality of care, emphasizing the urgent need for improvements in labor conditions to ensure more effective and efficient patient care. It concludes that structural reforms are essential for the well-being of professionals and the excellence of health services.
