DILEMMA OF LEGAL ABORTION: BETWEEN SEXUAL DIGNITY AND LEGAL PROCEDURES

Abstract

This article addresses the dilemmas of legal abortion in Brazil, particularly those resulting from the crime of rape, with a focus on the sexual dignity of women and the legal procedures involved. The objective is to analyze the legal and social implications of legal abortion. Using a comprehensive bibliographic research methodology, the methodology involved bibliographic research through legislation, doctrines, and jurisprudence. The results indicate that, despite the robust Brazilian legal framework for regulating abortion in specific situations, practical application faces significant challenges, such as a lack of adequate information. The study suggests improvements in legislation and the training of professionals.
