The inclusion of the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the school environment is a complex and crucial issue to promote a safe and welcoming educational environment. This work aims to analyze public policies aimed at promoting the inclusion of this community, considering the different dimensions of LGBTQIAPN+ identity and the challenges faced by LGBTQIAPN+ students in schools. In the introduction, we present the context of the topic and the relevance of inclusive public policies to guarantee equal rights and opportunities for all students, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The objectives of this work include analyzing legislation related to the rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ community, examining inclusion policies implemented in different contexts and evaluating the challenges and opportunities to promote inclusion in the school environment. The methodology used involved a systematic review of literature, including academic articles, reports from non-governmental organizations and government documents, to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. In development, we discuss the different letters that make up the acronym LGBTQIAPN+ and the legislation related to the rights of this community, highlighting the advances and challenges faced, both globally and in the Brazilian context. We also explore inclusion policies implemented in various jurisdictions and the results of these initiatives. We conclude that although significant progress has been made in promoting the inclusion of the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the school environment, there are still challenges to be overcome, including cultural resistance and lack of resources. However, we recognize ongoing efforts and the importance of continuing research and implementation of inclusive policies to ensure a safe and welcoming school environment for all students.
