Abstract

Surgical assessment of postoperative recovery, especially in the context of minimally invasive surgery (MIS), is an area of growing interest in medicine. CMI has revolutionized surgical practice, promoting less invasive techniques that seek to reduce surgical trauma, reduce recovery time and improve patient outcomes. With smaller incisions and less tissue manipulation, CMI offers a promising alternative to traditional surgical procedures. Objective: The objective of this systematic literature review is to investigate the impact of minimally invasive surgery on postoperative recovery, focusing on pain reduction, shorter recovery time and lower incidence of complications, through the analysis of scientific articles published in recent years. 10 years. Methodology: The systematic review was carried out according to the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) checklist. The PubMed, Scielo and Web of Science databases were consulted to identify relevant studies published between years X and X. The descriptors used were "minimally invasive surgery", "postoperative recovery", "impact", "surgical evaluation" and "results". The inclusion criteria were studies published in English or Portuguese, focused on evaluating postoperative recovery in CMI procedures and carried out in the last 10 years. Exclusion criteria included duplicate studies, case reports and narrative reviews. Results: The results consistently highlighted the benefits of minimally invasive surgery on postoperative recovery. Reduction in pain, shorter hospital stay, faster return to normal activities and lower incidence of complications were the main findings found in the studies reviewed. Furthermore, CMI has demonstrated psychological advantages for patients, resulting in less anxiety and greater overall satisfaction with the procedure. Conclusion: This systematic review reinforces the effectiveness of minimally invasive surgery in promoting faster and less painful postoperative recovery. The results highlight the growing importance of this approach in contemporary surgical practice and highlight the continued need for research and development in this area to optimize patient outcomes.
