Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The high rate of arterial hypertension is linked to the lifestyle that the population lives, poor diet and sedentary lifestyle are the main factors for the development of chronic non-communicable diseases, including systemic arterial hypertension (SAH). Hypertension, when not treated properly, can lead the patient to develop cardiovascular complications, which could lead to death, which is why it is extremely important that hypertensive patients receive good treatment OBJECTIVE: Identify the benefits of adequate treatment for people with hypertension systemic arterial.METHODOLOGY: Characterized as an integrative literature review that is descriptive and exploratory in nature, in which free articles were used and made available in full, which fit the topic covered, written in the last 5 years. The search for articles was carried out using the following descriptors: Blood pressure; Hypertension; prehypertension. RESULTS: Regular physical activity promotes well-being for all individuals. The association of continuous physical activity with pharmacological medications reduces the chances of developing cardiovascular problems, which benefits the sufferer. CONCLUSION: The benefits of adequate treatment for SAH reduce the chances of patients developing complications that can lead to death.
