Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has delved deeper into image recognition and processed a lot of information that has caused relevant impacts in the field of radiology, in addition to making the professional's work faster and more reliable in producing results. Therefore, the research problem is to present positive results in radiological exams, asking: how can AI contribute to radiology? Faced with this problem, the general objective of this study is to understand the importance of this technology in radiology, through a systematic review of the scientific literature. And through specific objectives, discuss the historical context of AI and its advances, identify the impacts caused in radiology and describe the profession of Radiology Technician linked to technological evolution. The methodology used was through bibliographical research, an investigative method that allows the evaluation of several authors in the context. Data collection (search for articles) was carried out on the online portals of BIRENE, REDALYC, GOOGLE ACADÊMICO AND SCIELO, where peer-reviewed articles were searched with the keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Radiology, Health, Imaging Diagnosis, Radiology technician. Given the relevance of this study, it is expected that the results will provide relevant support for Radiology Course graduates, as well as contributing to strengthening the proposed theme.
