Abstract

The evolution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is constant. Through digital media in the educational context, there has been a noticeable increase in the presence of technological devices with access to various forms of these media. This study aimed to understand the trajectories and challenges of digital media in the educational context. This research is justified by the rapid evolution of ICTs and their consolidated presence in the daily life of the educational sphere. The methodology adopted was a literature review, using inclusion and exclusion criteria and searching on established platforms for academic content publication. A total of 12 journals were selected. The results highlighted the strong presence of digital media over a period of time, but they also revealed challenges. These challenges include inequality in the accessibility of technological resources and digital media, as well as the need for ongoing training and proficiency in these tools among educators.
