Abstract

This study deepened the analysis of the complexity involved in implementing hybrid teaching in a public high school, focusing on the challenges of adapting the existing infrastructure and pedagogical practices to support this innovative educational modality. The central problem investigated was the effectiveness of hybrid teaching and its direct and indirect impacts on the quality of teaching provided by the institution. The general objective of this study was to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of hybrid teaching, considering critical elements such as adequate infrastructure, effective pedagogical methodologies and teacher training. To achieve these objectives, the methodology adopted included an extensive literature review, which addressed previous studies on hybrid teaching, educational technologies and professional development of teachers. This approach made it possible to identify best practices and frequent challenges associated with the transition to more flexible and integrated teaching models. The results of the study revealed that, although the presence of an advanced technological infrastructure is essential, the success of hybrid teaching equally depends on the pedagogical skills of teachers and their ability to adapt to new teaching methodologies. It was noted that ongoing training for educators is a crucial component to maximizing the potential of blended learning, ensuring they can effectively combine in-person teaching with online learning strategies. It was concluded that the successful implementation of hybrid teaching can effectively raise the quality of education, as long as it is accompanied by adequate investments in technology and in the professional development of teachers. This study highlights the need for continuous support for teachers and a firm commitment from school management to educational innovation, emphasizing that collaboration between all interested parties is fundamental to the success of such educational initiatives.
