The main theme of this article is school planning. The article examines the importance of planning, the different types of planning and their constituent components. It starts from the assumption that planning is intrinsically present in human life and society and is becoming increasingly necessary for carrying out all human activities, including education, in order to achieve the intended objectives. Educational planning respects the very requirements of educational work, even if it considers common issues such as intentionality, deliberation, the articulation of a set of elements and the coordinated action of certain agents. In order to explain that there is a lot to read and show in theory, but that in practice there are no satisfactory results, it was possible to make a relationship between theory and school practice using group experiences in teaching action. Each reading confirms the importance of planning actions before carrying them out in order to achieve success. So that planning doesn't become a metaphor and action doesn't become ineffective, it's important to keep in mind the objectives you want to achieve before you start planning. This is true even when considering various concepts of what planning is.
