This scientific article addresses the crucial nursing strategies for palliative care in terminal cancer patients, aiming to improve the quality of life of these individuals in their final moments. It highlights the importance of effective communication between the healthcare team, the patient and their family, emphasizing the need for an open dialogue about the patient's diagnoses, expectations and wishes. Explores techniques for managing pain and other physical symptoms, in addition to addressing the emotional, spiritual and social support needed for patients and families. The article highlights the role of nurses as an essential mediator in this process, providing holistic care adapted to individual needs. It also discusses the importance of continuing education for nursing professionals, enabling them to offer the best possible palliative care. It concludes that a multidisciplinary and personalized approach is fundamental for the effective management of palliative care in terminal cancer patients, emphasizing dignity, comfort and quality of life until the end.
