The objectives of the research are to analyze publications related to nursing care in patients with colostomy and to describe the importance of nursing care for these patients. This is a study with a qualitative approach, of a descriptive nature, of the integrative review type, where nursing care for colostomized patients will be addressed. It was carried out by searching databases available in the Virtual Health Library. The articles obtained were organized and analyzed, where the surgical procedure in question, the health team, and the patient's needs were discussed. From the study, it is concluded that nursing care is essential for ostomized individuals and that even With the technical processes based on scientific conceptions carried out by the professional nurse, it is essential to establish a bond with their clients, taking into account their ethical, moral, religious issues and their unique personalities, making care individual.
