Abstract

This article discusses about an educational look at the homework: the family and the school. The methodology was the literature, in which it was found that the relation school and family are essential, for the family as a guide space, construction of the identity of an individual and should promote along with the school partnership in order to contribute to the development of children and adolescents. The challenge lies in the partnership that the families and the school should keep aiming at the integral formation of children and adolescents. Parents need to participate in the education of their children so that they learn more and better, with the support of the families they feel motivated, insurance, stimulated with willingness to learn. To this end, it is for the school to develop a truly democratic, participative management, with collective deliberations, together with the art of dialogue and discussion to minimize absences, bringing parents to the school. This study will show that both the family and the school are agents of socialization. The difference is that the family is the primary agent, it is that the child receives its first guidelines, incentives, care, giving your children what they need for a life in society. The school can not live without family and vice versa; one depends on the other to achieve its main goal is the education of the individual. The family monitoring provides a real learning in the lives of students, Tiba (2002) states that if parents monitor the academic performance of the child from the beginning of the year may identify early those trends and with the support of teachers, therefore the school must maintain a partnership with the family. With the establishment of partnership links between educators and parents learning becomes more meaningful and effective in educating.
