The development of human activities over the centuries has contributed to the spread of negative impacts on the environment. In view of this assertion, efforts are needed from the public spheres to try to address the damage caused by humanity. It is only since the implementation of the National Solid Waste Policy in 2010 that legislation has shown that public authorities are paying more attention to the damage caused by men and women to the environment. This article presents a systematic review of public policies for the socio-environmental and economic inclusion of solid waste collectors. In this sense, it is necessary to understand: "how are public policies for the socio-environmental and economic inclusion of solid waste collectors being developed?". The aim of this article is to identify the number of papers published on "Public Policies", "Waste Pickers", "Socio-environmental and Economic Inclusion" and to analyze the relationship between public policies and the socio-environmental and economic inclusion of solid waste pickers through a systematic review, in which the scientific production of these contents was verified in the Web Of Science and Scopus databases, between 2012 and 2022. The results showed the need to implement public policies to ensure a change in the quality of life of solid waste collectors. They also pointed out that there is a lack of information related to the quantitative aspects (numbers) of production in the literature review.
