Teleworking is a work regime where the employee performs their work duties away from the employer's premises, often in their own home. Despite not having a defined origin, this type of work has been spreading around the world and has gained strength during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the face of emergency protection measures, as a way of mitigating the effects of the paralysis resulting from the pandemic and making work more flexible without harming either the employer or the worker. The aim of this article is to explain the teleworking regime, as well as to identify the challenges faced by civil servants in the District of Floriano/PI during COVID-19, describing the advantages and disadvantages of this modality from the perspective of the interviewees. Quantitative methodology was used through applied research, with an exploratory and descriptive nature, applying a questionnaire to respondents using a Google form. The analysis of the results obtained through the research instigated the search for solutions to the disadvantages, since teleworking continues to be implemented for employees and civil servants even after the end of the pandemic period.
