The aim of this study is to conduct a literature review on the implications of the use of medicinal plants in the context of arterial hypertension. This study has a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory nature. For the research, a review of the scientific literature was carried out. In the bibliographic review, 68 articles were found. Among the articles found, 25 met the inclusion criteria. The others were disregarded, as they did not address the use of medicinal plants that could cause changes in blood pressure and possible interactions with antihypertensive drugs.
