A railway signaling system is understood as the set of equipment, methods and procedures that allow the movement of trains, guaranteeing safety, increasing reliability, speed and planning, in addition to reducing costs. Due to the wide variety of equipment and the increased demand for rail transport, the electrical circuit system of which the rows of rails in a track section are part, that is, the track circuit, had to be innovated, thus generating great technologies for this branch. The present work aims to explain the newest CBTC system implemented, which through various equipment transmits pulses of square waves, generating the input and output codes in the ElectrologIXS cards. Therefore, throughout the article, the track circuit and its functionality are presented, to demonstrate how much the innovation and modernization of this system brought changes to the area, mainly in the reliability and safety of the equipment and in the transport of loads, facilitating in emergency calls and defects, thus allowing a safer and more efficient transport.
